Spent a few days with one of the nicest couples that I fish with. This was Wolfgang and Meta's 4th time fishing with me and I was sad to see them go! Enjoy a few pics from trip, that had some of the weirdest July weather ever!
A blog for clients, friends, and family to follow along on my outdoor adventures! Enjoy!

Hungry Sturgeon in high water.....
I can't believe how good the sturgeon fishing has been despite the ridiculously high water conditions we are having! I guess they still have to eat though lol! We have even managed to get some decent weather for some of my trips this week, so I snapped a few pics of people in T-shirts, battling jumping sturgeon. Also got my first pic of a "sundog", a rainbow type halo around the sun. I've seen a few before but have never been able to get a pic:)
Enjoy, Erik

Pitt River Bull Trout
After a huge bump in water height last week, the river has settled back down and has been fishing pretty good. Bull trout between 2 and 4 pounds seemed to be the norm right now, but we've been hooking the odd slab up to 8! I had a couple guys from Alberta out this week, and John (in the blue jacket) had not fly fished before! After a quick half hour lesson in casting and swinging streamers, he looked like a pro!!
The other highlight was watching a black bear feeding along the opposite bank from where we were fishing, here are a couple pics, enjoy.
High water Sturgeon fishing
Despite the incredibly high water on the Fraser right now, I've been having some great sturgeon fishing! landed a couple fish over six feet and one seven and a half footer this week. Unfortunately I don't have pics of the bigger fish due to the high water, there are no beaches to land them at for tagging and pictures. here are some up to six feet though!
Best baits have been Lamprey Eel, and Pike minnow.
Enjoy ;)

Remote fly fishing
Got to spend a few days exploring some of the boat access only areas, and with the higher water from the snow melt things went well! Mananaged some beautifully fish on the fly rods with a great gentleman named Ian from the UK. He managed to catch 5 different species of fish including, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, dolly varden, mountain whitefish, and bull trout! Enjoy a couple of pics from the last few days!
